Day 3 - 6/30/2019 - 準備好沒? Get Ready!

本日是我第一次寫關於台灣中科短宣的部落格

This is Angela, today is my first time writing the blog for 2019 Taichung STM 

今天是主日, 我們女生群 Amy, Nicole, 我 早上8就出發往教會去

Amy 還有 Nicole 在今天早上第一次體驗了台灣的麥當勞早餐

和美國的麥當勞非常不一樣, 他們覺得很驚奇 也很喜歡

Amy, Nicole and me we head for the church around 8am, Amy & Nicole tried their first-time breakfast at Taiwan's McDonald. It was surprisingly good and satisfying. 

吃完早餐後我們3位女生一起靈修 歌林多前書 第13章

After having breakfast, three of us do devotions together, (1 Corinthians 13) 

"我若能說萬人的方言，並天使的話語，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼、響的鈸一般。我若有先知講道之能，也明白各樣的奧祕、各樣的知識，而且有全備的信，叫我能夠移山，卻沒有愛，我就算不得什麼。我若將所有的賙濟窮人，又捨己身叫人焚燒，卻沒有愛，仍然與我無益。"- 歌林多前書 13:1-3

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

經文提醒了我們 愛的意義

當我們明天和小朋友與台灣青年互動時 (與任何人相處時), 都該以愛為出發點

因為 要是沒有愛, 我認為這趟短宣就是虛無

The verses reminding us of the means of love, when we interact with the kids tomorrow or work together with the Taiwanese youth (or anyone), we should all do it because of love.

Without love, what could this mission trip be?

Nicole提出了要是不先愛自己, 是不是很難去愛別人?

Amy幫我們複習了在今年退休會 青年講道裡提到的4個愛的階段:

自己愛自己→ 為自己愛神→ 為神愛神→ 為神愛自己

我分享了自己對於耐心不足的弱點, 但愛是恆久忍耐 是我要鍛鍊的

我們之後一起參加了台灣青年的主日學查經 是由兩位青年的家長帶領

查了 歌林多前書 第8章

At Sunday school, we join the bible study leading by Sam (Dorthy's Dad) and Andy (Jenny's Dad)

we look through 1 Corinthians 8

主日學查經/ Sunday School Bible Study 

"論到祭偶像之物，我們曉得我們都有知識。但知識是叫人自高自大，惟有愛心能造就人。"- 歌林多前書 8:1

"Food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up." 1 Corinthians 8:1

跟我們早上的靈修呼應 強調了愛 

我們可能滿口知識, 急於想要指正他人的錯誤 卻忘了要用愛心去說造就人的話

是很危險的 希望在這一個禮拜(以後也都是) 我們都可以記得要用愛說話

The passage emphasizes the importance of LOVE, just like the devotions we had this morning.

We might have a lot of knowledge and correcting people in a harsh way. But don't forget to say every word with love so that can be done for building up. Not only in this STM but also the rest of our days.

之後是主日崇拜

跟三一教會非常的不一樣, 對我和Nicole, Matt來說都是新的體驗 今天也領了主餐

接著和中科的青少年 度過了破冰熱絡的半小時

我覺得很心滿意足, 也更加期待和他們一起同工讓小朋友聽到福音 認識耶穌

After the Sunday Service, we had a fun time with the Taiwanese youth. We get to know each other more, they are all wonderful people and I am looking forward to working with them tomorrow.  

下午愛宴後, 我們６位把所有要帶動唱和表演的舞蹈走過

還看了台灣青年戲劇的預演 雖然是說中文 但是中科青年的演技非常傳神 也很有個性 充滿歡笑　很期待他們明天的演出

We 6, practice the dances for the Body Worship and the performance after lunch. We truly enjoy being the audience while the Taiwanese youth rehearsing their play for tomorrow. 

最後需要練習和預演的是　帶動唱　

我自己最喜歡本日的這一部分　大家都充滿活力　來敬拜讚美上帝

希望明天的我們也能保持我們今天的能量和熱情

The last part for the day is the rehearsal for tomorrow's children worships. This could be my favorite part of today. I am so joyful when praising Him with all my might. 

Hope we can also extend our passion and energy from today's worship practicing throughout the next whole week!

最後用晚餐作為結尾

今天是David 的１６生日 他爸爸請我們吃了台灣的傳統合菜

對Adam, Amy, Jonathan, Nicole, Matt 都是非常非常特別的體驗 (其實我也快忘了台灣菜原來吃起來是這個味道)

其中的 鳳梨炸蝦球上的 裝飾讓我們覺得很不可思議/ 震驚/ 疑惑

And we end our days with a very very very traditional Taiwanese food and celebrate David's 16th birthday. The traditional Taiwanese food really surprise us in a unique way- the combination of mayo, sprinkles, and bamboo shoots (?)

• 和上帝的關係 Relationships with God
